Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Here's how we protect and handle your personal information.

At Logicthinc, we believe transparency builds trust. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you interact with our deep learning programming education services. We've written this in plain language because understanding your rights shouldn't require a law degree.

Information We Collect

When you engage with our educational programs, we collect different types of information to provide you with the best learning experience possible.

Personal Information

  • Name, email address, and phone number when you inquire about programs
  • Educational background and career goals during enrollment consultations
  • Payment information processed through secure third-party providers
  • Learning progress and assignment submissions within our platform
  • Communication records from support interactions and mentoring sessions

We also automatically collect technical information including IP addresses, browser types, and device information to improve our platform performance. This data helps us understand which devices work best with our programming environments and optimize accordingly.

For our Taiwan-based students, we may collect additional information required for local educational reporting, always in compliance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act.

How We Use Your Information

Every piece of information we collect serves a specific purpose in delivering quality education and support. We don't collect data just because we can — there's always a clear reason.

  • Personalizing your learning experience based on your background and goals
  • Providing technical support for programming environments and tools
  • Sending important updates about course schedules and curriculum changes
  • Connecting you with relevant career opportunities and industry partnerships
  • Analyzing learning patterns to improve our curriculum and teaching methods
  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate enrollment records
  • Complying with educational regulations and accreditation requirements

We never sell your personal information to third parties. Period. Your data isn't a revenue stream — it's a tool to help you succeed in your deep learning journey.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

While we keep your information secure, certain educational and operational needs require us to work with trusted partners. Here's exactly who has access and why.

Service Providers We Work With

  • Cloud hosting providers for secure platform infrastructure
  • Payment processors for tuition and fee transactions
  • Email service providers for course communications
  • Analytics tools to understand platform usage and improve user experience
  • Career placement partners for qualified graduates seeking employment

All our partners sign strict data processing agreements that limit how they can use your information. They can only use it for the specific services they provide to us — nothing else.

We may also share information when legally required, such as responding to valid court orders or cooperating with law enforcement investigations. In such cases, we'll notify you unless prohibited by law.

Your Rights and Choices

Your personal information belongs to you. We're just the custodians. Here are the rights you have and how to exercise them.

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal information we have about you
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information in your profile
  • Deletion: Request removal of your data, subject to educational record requirements
  • Portability: Receive your data in a format you can transfer elsewhere
  • Objection: Opt out of certain data processing activities
  • Restriction: Limit how we process your information in specific circumstances

To exercise these rights, simply contact our privacy team using the information below. We'll respond within 30 days and guide you through the process. Some requests may take longer if they're complex, but we'll keep you informed.

Important Note for Current Students

If you're actively enrolled in our programs, certain information must be retained for educational and legal compliance purposes, even if you request deletion. We'll explain what must be kept and why when processing your request.

Data Security and Protection

Protecting your information isn't just about compliance — it's about earning and maintaining your trust. Here's how we keep your data secure.

  • End-to-end encryption for all data transmission and storage
  • Multi-factor authentication for all staff accessing student information
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing by independent experts
  • Automatic backup systems with encrypted off-site storage
  • Staff training on data protection and privacy best practices
  • Incident response procedures for any potential security breaches

We use industry-standard security measures, but no system is 100% foolproof. If a data breach occurs, we'll notify affected individuals within 72 hours and provide clear information about what happened and what steps we're taking.

You can help protect your information too by using strong passwords, not sharing login credentials, and reporting suspicious activity immediately.

Data Retention and Deletion

We don't keep your information forever. Different types of data have different retention periods based on educational, legal, and business needs.

Retention Periods

  • Student records: 7 years after program completion (required by Taiwan education law)
  • Marketing inquiries: 2 years if no enrollment occurs
  • Payment information: 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Technical logs: 12 months for security and performance analysis
  • Support communications: 3 years for service improvement

When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize the information. For digital records, this means multi-pass deletion that makes recovery impossible. Physical documents are shredded using cross-cut methods.

Some information may be retained longer if required by legal proceedings or regulatory investigations, but we'll notify you if this affects your data.

International Data Transfers

While Logicthinc operates primarily in Taiwan, some of our technology partners and services are located internationally. Here's how we handle cross-border data transfers.

We use cloud services that may store or process your information in data centers outside Taiwan. All international transfers are protected by:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by data protection authorities
  • Adequacy decisions recognizing equivalent privacy protection
  • Binding corporate rules for multinational service providers
  • Your explicit consent where required by law

We regularly review the privacy practices of countries where your data might be processed and will notify you of any significant changes that could affect your privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Our deep learning programs are designed for adult learners and professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.

If you're under 18 and interested in programming education, please have a parent or guardian contact us to discuss appropriate learning paths and privacy protections.

If we discover we've inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we'll delete it immediately and notify the parents or guardians if possible.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy regulations and our educational services evolve over time. When we update this policy, we'll notify you through multiple channels to ensure you're aware of any changes.

For significant changes that affect your rights or how we use your information, we'll:

  • Send email notifications to all current and recent students
  • Display prominent notices on our website and learning platform
  • Provide a summary of key changes in plain language
  • Give you time to review and ask questions before changes take effect

Minor updates, like contact information changes or clarifications, will be posted directly to this page with an updated effective date.
